Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use this site, including people who rely on a keyboard, a screen reader or reduced motion. This page says what we have done, what we know still falls short, and how to tell us when something does not work.
Our commitment
Pacific Homes aims to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA across pacific-homes.com. Accessibility is also part of how we design houses: our accessible home design guide covers the same thinking applied to a floor plan.
What the site does
- Every page can be navigated with a keyboard, including the menus, plan filters, accordions and the image lightbox.
- Headings follow a logical order and pages carry a single main heading.
- Photographs carry descriptive alternative text; decorative hero images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Text and background colours are chosen for contrast, and text can be resized in the browser without loss of content.
- Animations respect the reduced motion setting in your operating system.
- Forms have visible labels and error messages.
Known limitations
- Floor plan drawings are images. The specifications table on each plan page carries the room list, areas and dimensions in text; if you need a drawing described, ask a Build Specialist.
- Some forms are provided by HubSpot and some older documents are PDFs. We are working through them.
- The plant tour video and older project galleries may lack captions or descriptions.
Tell us
If any part of the site is difficult to use, email info@pacific-homes.com or call 1-250-743-5584 and tell us the page and what happened. We will fix what we can and, where we cannot, provide the information another way.
